About Paulette
I was raised in the country near the Great Smoky Mountains in Tennessee. Early on my parents instilled in me a love and respect for nature: the sights, sounds, smells, textures…all of it. Nature touches me in ways that nothing else can. As you may have noticed already, God’s natural creation has reached deep into my soul. This magical connection is what I try to express and share in my paintings.
The natural world holds limitless appeal. Its simplicity, complexity, contrasts, and harmonies are alluring. They fascinate me and draw me in. Trying to capture all this in my paintings is the most challenging and exciting privilege I can think of.
It is well known that there is a special, almost intimate, connection between painters and their subjects. My greatest hope is that my work can trigger your intimate memories or moving experiences through the natural world.
Art has power. It can brighten and enrich people’s lives. I have spent significant portions of my life participating in the arts. Dance, interior design, watercolor painting, charcoal and pencil drawings, and sculpture are some of my favorite artistic expressions.
Join me in my quest to enrich the daily lives of others through art, In my case, I reach out to others via paints and canvas. Who knows what one of my works could inspire you to do?!
